Native Sons Water Sports is owned by Alvin Jackson, a long time native resident on Roatan.  Alvin grew up fishing and exploring the local reefs.  He captained and ran diving and fishing charters for Caribbean sailing yachts throughout the Bay Islands.  Alvin enhanced his diving experience as an instructor and assistant manager at Anthony's Key Resort.  Later, he designed and managed the dive facility at Bay Islands Beach Resort.  After 20 years of working for other island groups, Alvin started Native Sons Water Sports in 1996.

Native Sons dive shop is located approximately 100 yards from the end of the main road as you enter West End.  Turn right as you leave the main paved road, and you will find Native Sons on the right next to Chilli's  in Half Moon Bay.  You can choose para-sailing, scuba diving, or fishing activities.  Native Sons accepts credit cards.

Native Sons provides PADI certification through Dive Master.  Instruction can be given in Spanish and English.  Small, personalized groups are formed or private instruction is available.  Basic open water courses include comprehensive instruction to achieve the first dive level certification.

Alvin also provides fly fishing and deep sea fishing.  Deep sea fishing is only minutes away from the dive shop location to the outside of the reef.  Fly fishing along the shore or in the ocean is also available.

Para sailing is becoming a popular activity with day tourists that arrive on the cruise ships.

Native Sons has two boats available.  There is one 25 foot dive boat and one boat for island tours, fishing, or para-sailing.
