A full range of deep sea fishing and fly fishing is available on Roatan Island, Honduras.  There is no fishing license requirement for shore line or deep sea fishing.  Use of spear guns and slings is prohibited in Honduras.   Crystal Beach Cabins Fishing is located in West End.  You can be deep sea fishing by boat only a few minutes from the shore.  More information on Crystal Beach Fishing is on the link above.  Our neighbor, Early Bird Fishing Charters,  also provides excellent fishing services for residents staying at the Vista Villa.  More info at www.earlybirdfishingcharters.com or click here on mail link or call 955-0001 or 445-3019.   Early Bird Charters has a good reputation for bringing home fish! 

Bill Orr, another local resident pictured above, normally does catch and release on bill fish but the one above just didn't survive for a release.   Half Moon Bay charters is run by Millers Fishing Charters and you can contact Ed Miller at in West End.  Anthony's Key clients should contact the resort directly concerning fishing charters.  Early Bird Fishing Charter is located in Sandy Bay near the Bay Island Beach Resort. 

Fishing guides with are available in Sandy Bay and in West End.  Pricing may vary depending upon your requirements.  Several of the dive operators also have boats dedicated to fishing.   When staying at the Vista Villas, our staff will assist you with making the arrangements for fishing and can provide you with a quote from the operators in West End and Sandy Bay.  Fisherman desiring to fish in the Oakridge area should plan on staying in Oak Ridge due to the cost of commuting and time to get there from Sandy Bay.  

Fishing along the beach in Sandy Bay and other locations is commonly practiced.  With a little local knowledge, you can easily venture out on your own to do the fishing.  Tarpon and bone fish inhabit the shoreline areas.
