Car Rental Information and Rates
for Roatan Island

Car rentals are available from 17 car agencies.   Caribbean Rent-A-Car 455-5648 is a preferred vendor. Their rates may vary from the information provided here.  Car rentals are subject to a 12% Honduran tax.  Caribbean's pricing below includes the taxes and insurance.    Most will use credit cards and gold and platinum cards usually cover the insurance.  You should check with your credit card company to evaluate you insurance options.

Upon arrival at the airport, the rental agencies have booths.  They are staffed when an international flight arrives and when you have a reservation.  Otherwise, the booth may or may not be staffed.  Caribbean Rent A Car will deliver a car to the Vista Villas.

Avis Rent A Car

Public transportation and taxis service all areas on Roatan.   Mini buses and taxis stop at the entrance to Sunnyside to pick up passengers.   Taxis will drop off passengers at your lodging accommodation.  Taxis and bus fares are approximately $1.00 US to Coxen Hole or West End per person.  Be sure to confirm taxi rates before your travel.
